The Altruia

Website

So I started up a simple website, basically just a personal page with contact info and resume. It's an open source design, and I ported it to blogger too, so the website has a blog. Not sure I completely am satisfied with the layout yet, but since I don't want to spend a ton of time tinkering with it, this is probably how it will look for a little while.

I think Mix would probably get a red card if he were in New Zealand.

Captain Planet

"A SMALL Welsh town is setting an example to the world by showing how everyone can become carbon-neutral.
The market town of Llanidloes on the banks of the River Severn in Powys is tackling climate change locally. It is sandwiched between three wind farms and is trying to ensure its residents don't use more energy than they produce and that the energy they do use is from renewable resources...

Ms Berriman added, "All these ideas started after just one or two people decided to tackle climate change." (BBC)

Saturday's plans (thanks to shaun for somehow winning this!):limo picks us up at 2pm in madison, and takes us to the brewers game. limo is stocked with free miller products and free tailgating supplies/food. free tickets to brewers game. free limo ride back to madison in time to hit the bars. (yes I am bringing my camera).

Sunday's plans: 12 mile training run for marathon.

Let's hope these two plans go together

This isn't right

Something tells me, this shouldn't be happening.

I shouldn't have to hope that coca-cola commercials aren't the only places I ever get to see a polar bear, but it looks like I am losing that bet.

Joel Klein is amazing

"Any list about important things that doesn't concentrate on food and sex is obviously compromised and full of lies. It is the work of a group of people who want to sell magazines about things other than food and sex. Which is, needless to say, a losing battle."

The time 100 is coming out soon, and so is the Joel 100. Although his list isn't coming out until Thursday, it is quite intersting to read about his rationale.

Our Heaven has a Beer Volcano

THERE is something perversely satisfying about soaking in a tub of beer. First there is the yeasty aroma of malt and hops, followed by a warm and sticky sensation as the brown liquid envelopes your body...

Mom, can I borrow 44 euros?
